Grounded & Growing: June at Grandview Vineyard
June marks a beautiful shift in the vineyard, always bringing anticipation and excitement as the vines really begin to thrive under the warming sun, all while our guests continue pouring onto the deck to enjoy the view.
This month is a time for structure as our primary focus in the vineyard is canopy management. This means making our way through the vines to ensure every shoot is properly supported, allowing the fruit to receive the light and airflow needed to ripen well.
Nothing about the process is inherently glamorous, loud, or showy, but that kind of detail work shapes how the fruit ripens, which directly impacts the quality of the wine.
Wines That Fit the Weather
Summer doesn’t call for heavy pours or complicated pairings. It calls for clarity in wines that are clean, balanced, and ready to enjoy. That’s not to say we’re limited to chilled whites and blushes, though many guests do lean into these on warmer days.
On the dry side, Naked Chardonnay and Albariño offer bright acidity and a clean finish, without the weight of oak. They’re natural fits for lighter meals, seafood, or warm afternoons.

If you’re looking for something more relaxed and on the sweeter side, Precious Pink or our Moscato Punch Slushie are long-loved options. These wines don’t ask for much, just a little sunshine, a good view, and maybe something to snack on.
If you’re still not fully sure which might be your go-to for summer meals and gatherings, you’re always welcome to drop by our tasting room and sample our wines to see what you like. Our staff is also well-versed in wine, enabling us to provide education to guests who love learning more about the wine and the process we use to produce it.
Oh, the things to get into…
Our summer schedule is as abundant as always, with much to do, from relaxing on the deck with your dog to hanging out with friends to the sound of live music, to exclusive events for our wine club members.

The Cove: Summer Weddings and Private Gatherings

This time of year, the Cove is in full swing. It’s tucked just beyond the main vineyard and set up to host events that need a little privacy without losing the view. Many couples book it for weddings, but it’s also available for showers, milestone birthdays, or corporate gatherings. If you’re planning something meaningful, we can walk you through the details.
