Unfurling Spring at Grandview Vineyard
The first warm days of spring change everything in the vineyard. The vines start their slow climb upward, the deck livens back up for afternoon gatherings, and the entire place feels like it’s waking up after a long, cold winter.
As much as we’re looking forward to Summer, we’re definitely in no rush and happy to hang onto such comfortable weather for as long as possible – especially where there’s live music and so many events serving as the perfect little excuses to get out with friends.
Spring is so many things to so many people but among them all, it’s a time to be enjoyed to its fullest. It’s a time of anticipation of things to come. A time to breathe again and take in the sun. A time to enjoy the little moments that make life amazing.
Kicking Things Off Right

We recently got to celebrate our annual deck re-opening with incredible entertainment and specials. It was so good to see guests back out mingling on the deck, taking in the beautifully greened-up scenery.
Wines for the Season: What We’re Pouring This Spring
As the weather shifts and the deck opens for longer afternoons, we start reaching for wines that match the pace and feel of spring. This means wines with clean finishes, easy character, and enough structure to pair well with lighter seasonal food. Two in particular that come to mind: Naked Chardonnay and Precious Pink.
Okay, so calling it “Naked” garners some looks on ocassion but it fits. This makes it a true natural fit for warm afternoons.
Naked Chardonnay is fermented and aged in stainless steel, which gives it a crisp, clean profile without the buttery notes typical of oak-aged versions. It’s smooth up front with a touch of acidity on the finish, offering citrus, peach, and pear flavors followed by a tart apple edge. It’s a strong match for spring fares such as pasta primavera, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad with goat cheese and herbs. Stick with simple ingredients, clean flavors, and nothing that overshadows the wine.

Precious Pink, part of our Rock Candy Gem Collection, brings a more playful style to the season. It’s sweet, light, effervescent, and meant to be enjoyed without overthinking it. Whether you’re pairing it with picnic snacks, fresh fruit, or just a sunny afternoon on the deck, it fits right in.
If you’re visiting, you’re welcome to bring your own picnic or order from our menu of light snacks and pizzas, available most evenings. Either way, it’s less about the food and more about the time spent around the table.
Outdoor Events
Have we mentioned we LOVE outdoor events? It’s so exciting to see Grandview coming back to life with more events happening out on the deck. It’s even more special to see the private events kicking back up as outdoor weddings and private corporate events bring more life back out into The Cove.
The Cove is such a perfectly peaceful spot that feels like it’s own spot, carved out from the world. It sits tucked away, reserved for ceremonies or private gatherings. We also offer a pavilion just next to the Cove to serve as a perfectly convenient spot to move receptions and dining, along with open lawn for further connection and maybe some fun lawn games.

If you’re planning something meaningful this year, we’d be happy to talk with you about what’s possible.
