Tasting Room Servers
What to Expect:
This is a part-time position with hourly / bi-weekly pay plus tips that requires weekend hours. Our
server/bartenders will be expected to provide the highest level of customer service in order to deliver an
amazing experience to our customers each time, while building customer loyalty and representing our
brand. They will be exposed to our story so that they can share it with our customers. Under minimal
supervision, our representatives will perform principal functions including (but not limited to) cash register
operations, product knowledge, product presentations, sales and service.
Further Expectations Include:
- Performing daily opening/closing tasks
- Learning of all wines/ being able to present and explain them for tastings
- Help/guiding customers in purchases
- Understanding Wine club memberships
- Teamwork makes the dream work
- Operating iPads/ basic POS system
- Checking ID’s and recognizing when a customer has had too much to drink
- Performing basic cleaning skills
- Stocking merchandise and supplies as needed
- Representing the Grandview brand professionally and enthusiastically
- Maintaining satisfactory attendance, including being on time to work
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus related experience, retail sales, direct sales or hospitality experience.
- RAMP certification (provided by Grandview)
- Required to work weekends and be flexible with scheduling
- Required to be 21 years of age or older
- Required to be able to lift/move up to 50lbs
- Required to be able to stand for up to 5 or more hours
What Will Set You Apart:
- > 1 year Serving or bartending experience
- Knowledge of wine/wine making process
